This 112-page book, self-published in 2000, was an attempt to answer the frequent question... "um, what is it that you actually
do, anyway?" It begins with an overview of the computerized recumbent bicycles that I pedaled 17,000 miles around the US, then continues to the Microship project. The geeky parts are dated, of course, but the fundamentals are still relevant... and it is a stand-alone statement about the blending of passion, technology, freedom, and adventure.
My new boat is rather sedate compared to a canoe-scale amphibian pedal/solar/sail micro-trimaran, but it is a ticket to geek expeditions on a global scale. This little book is a tight snapshot of the key steps along the way.
